Yogurt With Heart - Merissa Myles

Inspired by the culinary traditions of the Silk Road, Tree Island Yogurt’s story began nine years ago.  Partners Scott DiGuistini and Merissa Myles started this family business with the clear and unwavering commitment to building a sustainable future for their children and generations to come. Since launching in 2012, Tree Island’s business has been one of tremendous success while staying true to their original vision.

With this comes opportunity and the current Tree Island Yogurt location was limiting those possibilities.  “We’re busting at the seams,” says Merissa. “So we’ve been on the hunt for a new location for several years.” That need for a new location was solved with the creation and development of Bevan: A Living Workplace.

Located on the industrial lands in the Village of Cumberland, BC, the new 30,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Tree Island Yogurt facility is leading the new Bevan industrial subdivision. Built from the ground up and to the specifications of the industry, Tree Island’s new location responds to their expansion needs and also will be a beautiful place to work. “We’ve taken great care in creating a workplace that our employees will want to come to. A healthy work environment is vital in our ongoing success and the happiness of our employees is at heart of that success.”

The new inspired Tree Island Yogurt facility includes a roof top deck, bike paths, a spacious, sun filled staff room and an outdoor landscape with trees, benches and gathering places.
